Commission rates and cookie windows vary by vendor. Some pay a flat one-time amount, some pay a percentage of the first year, and some pay recurring commission for as long as you stay subscribed. Where it matters, we note it on the relevant tool page.

A tool's place in our editorial picks, Top Pick badges, or category rankings is never for sale. We routinely recommend free tools and tools we earn nothing from, and we routinely decline to feature tools whose vendors offer generous affiliate terms but whose product does not meet the bar for the audience.
