SoloAI Toolkit

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data SoloAI Toolkit collects, why, how it is used, and what rights you have. It is written in plain language because legal boilerplate that no one reads helps no one.

Who we are

SoloAI Toolkit is operated as an independent website. For the purposes of data protection law, the data controller is the operator of soloaitoolkit.co, based in Belgium. For any privacy-related questions, contact privacy@soloaitoolkit.co.

This policy applies to visitors of soloaitoolkit.co and subscribers to the SoloAI Toolkit newsletter. It does not cover third-party websites linked from this site — those are governed by their own privacy policies.

What data we collect

Information you give us directly

  • Email address — if you subscribe to the newsletter or contact us via the advertise or contact form.
  • Name — if you provide it when subscribing or enquiring.
  • Message content — if you send us a message via email or contact form.

Information collected automatically when you visit

  • Pages visited and time spent — via our analytics provider (see cookies section).
  • Approximate location at country and region level — derived from your IP address, which is not stored in full.
  • Device type, browser, and operating system — for understanding how the site is used.
  • Referring URL — the page or search that brought you here.

Information collected through affiliate links

When you click a tracked affiliate link on this site, the destination platform (e.g. Impact, ShareASale, PartnerStack) will set a tracking cookie in your browser. We receive aggregated reports of clicks and conversions from these platforms — we do not receive your personal details from them. See each platform's privacy policy for how they handle your data.

Why we collect it and the legal basis

  • To operate the newsletter and send issues to subscribers — legal basis: consent (you opted in).
  • To respond to enquiries and advertising requests — legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it — legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • To earn affiliate commissions that fund the site — legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • To comply with legal obligations if required — legal basis: legal obligation.

Cookies

This site uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or build personal profiles for targeted advertising.

  • Analytics cookies — set by our analytics provider to count visits and understand traffic patterns. These use anonymised or cookieless measurement where possible.
  • Affiliate tracking cookies — set by third-party affiliate networks (Impact, ShareASale, PartnerStack, and individual tool providers) when you click an affiliate link. These are set by the destination site, not by us.
  • No social media tracking pixels are loaded on this site.

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the site. Blocking affiliate cookies means we will not earn commission if you later purchase — this is your right and we respect it.

Newsletter and email

If you subscribe to the SoloAI Toolkit newsletter, your email address is stored with our newsletter provider (currently Beehiiv or Kit/ConvertKit). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any issue — your data will be removed promptly. We do not share or sell subscriber lists to any third party. We do not send unsolicited email to anyone who has not opted in.

How long we keep data

  • Newsletter subscriber data — for as long as you remain subscribed, plus up to 60 days after unsubscribing.
  • Contact and enquiry data — for up to 2 years, in case of follow-up.
  • Analytics data — aggregated and anonymised; retained for up to 26 months.

Your rights under GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — you can ask what personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data.
  • Right to restriction — you can ask us to limit how we process your data.
  • Right to portability — you can ask for a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Right to object — you can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent (e.g. newsletter), you can withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@soloaitoolkit.co. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority — in Belgium this is the Autorité de protection des données (APD).

Third-party links

This site links to dozens of third-party tools and services. Clicking those links takes you to sites outside our control, governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third party linked from this site.
