Why most AI listings flop

Most AI tools spit out generic, keyword-stuffed copy. Etsy buyers see through it in two seconds. After testing 12 tools on real listings for handmade jewelry, candles, and digital prints, three stood out.

1. The all-rounder for product copy

Tool claude not found.

Claude consistently produced the most natural-sounding descriptions. It picked up on tone (cozy vs luxe vs whimsical) without us having to spell it out.

2. For SEO-friendly titles

Tool chatgpt not found.

ChatGPT was the strongest at generating keyword variants — useful for the Etsy 140-char title and tag slots.

3. For mockup photos

Tool midjourney not found.

When your photography isn't there yet, Midjourney can fill the gap with lifestyle scenes that actually look like a real product shot.

The takeaway

Use Claude for descriptions, ChatGPT for SEO tags, Midjourney for visuals. That stack alone handled 80% of the listing work in our tests.
